At Ascot Vet, we offer a range of x-ray services utilising our advanced digital radiology facilities.
X-ray allows us to look at the bones or organs of your pet in a noninvasive way. We can also take hip and elbow x-rays for any of the Australian hip or elbow dysplasia schemes.
With the digital technology available, x-rays can be taken quickly with less radiation exposure to your pet. Sedation or general anaesthesia is usually required in order to take images safely without having to excessively restrain your pet. We can attach the images to your pet’s file or put them on a disc for you to keep. If specialist interpretation is required, we can on send images to specialists as required.
We also have a modern ultrasound machine for carrying out abdominal scans and pregnancy diagnosis. If a specialist ultrasound is required, we can organise referral for your pet.
